I've been thinking of what to do over winter break, but I only want to focus on one or two. So help me pick 'em. :)

SO SOMETIMES I LOVE MY FAMILY. Someone (read: my beloved neighbor who is wonderful in every way except that pesky little crush on the Stupid Shiny Volvo Owner) has convinced my mother to read Twilight. It's only been a day and she's already ranted at me about the childish writing and how useless Bella is and how she has to keep reading just to find out what happens. (avacadoquill apparently has the same problem, maybe I am just too lazy to be affected by the drug that is Twilight.)

Eggo: /taking horrible perverse glee in the suffering of others

Eggo's Mom: Well, obviously he's crazy about her–
Eggo: Emphasis on the "crazy".
Eggo's Mom: And she goes on about how handsome he is. But he's a VAMPIRE. I mean, if you found out someone was a vampire, wouldn't you just want to get away from them?

[Sadly, it was 11:30 and I could not give her the "blah blah sexual metaphor blah blah Dracula blah blah I would hit Alucard like the fist of an angry god" speech.]

Eggo: You can't judge all vampires based on Edward Cullen, mom. Sparklepires aren't real vampires, anyway.
Eggo's Mom: And they don't eat humans or something.
Eggo: They're vegetarians.
Eggo's Mom: I think they eat cougars, something like that.

okay I finally caved (ahahahaha). DRAGONS, I HAS THEM. The greeny-blue one is my favorite, I think. Do I need more ridiculous things to do online? No, I do not. This is not going to stop me any. :Dv

No idea where this came from, but:
1. Pick 10 15 of your favorite books or series.
2. Post the first sentence of each book. (If one sentence seems too short, post two or three!)
3. Let everyone try to guess the titles (no need for authors; I barely expect anyone to know the titles) of your books.

I left off plays, otherwise this would have been like a list of 25. And I took out names so nothing was too hideously obvious. Bonus points if you can not only name the author, but fill in the blanks!
